ASTM A572 Low Alloy Steel for Bridges Construction

 ASTM A572 steel is a kind of high-strength low alloy steel, used in a variety of structural applications. It is available in five grades: 42, 50, 55, 60 & 65.  ASTM A572 low alloy steel is a common choice for structural steel in the construction of bridges, buildings, and construction equipment. This high strength low alloy steel (HSLA) offers lower weight, higher yield and tensile strength than the comparable A36 plate. Of the four Grades of A572, ASTM A572 Grade 50 low alloy steel is the most commonly used. Methods of joining this type of plate together include welding, bolting, and riveting. Additionally, the plate is resistant to corrosion.
