Production mode and advantages of welded H-beam steel

2021-03-29 15:09:18

Welding H-beam steel is to cut the strip steel with appropriate thickness into appropriate width, and weld the flange and web together in continuous welding line. Welding H-beam steel has the disadvantages of large metal consumption, difficult to ensure uniform product performance and limited size. Therefore, H-beam steel is mainly produced by rolling. In modern rolling production, H-beam is rolled by rolling mill.

The web of H-beam steel is rolled between the upper and lower horizontal rolls, and the flange is rolled between the side of horizontal roll and vertical roll at the same time. Because only the rolling mill can't press down the flange end, it is necessary to set the edge rolling machine behind the stand, commonly known as edge rolling machine, so as to press down the flange end and control the flange width.

H-beam steel is a kind of high efficiency and economic profile (other cold-formed thin-walled steel, profiled steel, etc.), because of the reasonable section shape, they can make the steel more efficient and improve the bearing capacity. Different from the common I-section steel, the flange of H-beam steel is widened, and the inner and outer surfaces are usually parallel, so that it is easy to connect with other components with high strength bolts.
