Tanker Price
The price of modern super-large tankers continued to be stable this week(23 Sep. - 29, Sep.).The super-large tanker Toyo (310,300 DWT Japan Imabari Shipbuilding made in January 2005) was sold to Greek ship owner Altomare for US$28 million. The VV pre-sale valuation was US$30.71 million. Special inspection/dock repair expires.
Aframax tanker Esteem Splendour (106,500 DWT Japan Universal made in January 2005) was sold to Indonesian shipowner Soechi Lines for US$ 14.25 million, with a pre-sale VV valuation of US$14.8 million. The special inspection expires.
Two MR1 tankers Maersk Erin and Maersk Edgar (37,200 DWT Jiangsu Jinling Shipyard, manufactured in June and August 2004) were sold for a total of US$18.7 million. The overall VV pre-sale valuation was US$18.47 million. The special inspection passed.
Bulk Carrier Price
The price of bulk carriers continued to remain stable this week.The ultra-Panama bulk carrier Dimitra (93,300 DWT Sailing Zhoushan Shipyard made in March 2010) was sold for US$11.8 million, and the VV pre-sale valuation was US$ 14.28 million. The dock repair expires.
The Carina Ocean (58,800 DWT Japan Tsunei Cebu Shipyard in January 2009) was sold to Greek buyers for US$12.3 million. The VV pre-sale valuation was US$12.16 million.
The handysize bulk carrier SAM Falcon (made at the 33,500 DWT Zhejiang Shipyard in January 2011) was sold for $8.75 million and the VV pre-sale valuation was $8 million.
Container Ships Price
The price of smaller medium-sized container ships was weak in this week (23 Sep. - 29, Sep.).The ultra-Panama bulk carrier Hammonia Istria (4,957 TEU Jiangsu New Yangtze River shipbuilding made in June 2013) was sold to Singapore X-Press Feeders for US$28 million.
