L-shape profile steel, also known as unequal leg and unequal thickness angle steel, is a new type of profile produced to meet the needs of large-scale ship construction.
In the case that the height of section steel is the same as that of belly, the section coefficient and rigidity of L-shape profile steel are larger than that of bulb flat steel; under the same section coefficient, the storage capacity of ship is increased, and the economic benefit is improved; in addition, the thickness of L-shape profile steel panel is slightly thinner than that of bulb flat steel, which is conducive to improving the quality of weld joint.
The L-shape profile steel specification is expressed as follows: web height (H) × area width (b) × web thickness (T) × panel thickness (T).
Main uses: L-shape profile steel is not only used for large ships, but also for offshore engineering structures and construction engineering structures with high requirements.
