BV AH36 steel plate is a higher strength structural steel plate. The Higher Strength-Grades AH, DH, EH, and FH (AH32/DH32/EH32/FH32, AH36/DH36/EH36/FH36, AH40/DH40/EH40/FH40) with a specified minimum yield point of 46 ksi [315 MPa], 51 ksi [350 MPa], or 57 ksi [390 MPa].
BV steels come 4 grades (Grade A, B,C, D) in ordinary-strength steel for shipbuilding and grade A is the lowest one of them. The BV Grade A steel plates have yield strength of 34,100 psi (235 MPa), and ultimate tensile strength of 58,000 - 75,500 psi (400-520 MPa).
