In the laser hybrid welding, the arc heat can make the cooling rate of the upper surface of CCS grade B steel plate weld slower than that of the bottom of the weld, so there are more proeutectoid ferrite in the upper part of the weld. Compared with pure laser welding, the amount of ferrite in CCS grade B steel plate is less under the same power because the welding wire consumes part of laser energy.
Laser filler metal welding and hybrid welding can compensate the loss of some elements in CCS grade B steel plate during welding, which plays a great role in the microstructure and mechanical properties of the weld.
