Classification society GL is short for Germanischer Lloyd. As an independent classification society, GL was created to evaluate the quality of ships and deliver the results to stakeholders. GL’s first international ship classification register from 1868 reports 273 classed ships. By 1877, the number had grown tenfold. The surveyor network extended rapidly as a result. The DNV GL Group became operational on September 12, 2013 after the merger of DNV and GL. Now the DNV GL Group operates in over 100 countries.
Grade GL DH36 is the hull structural steel, shipbuilding steel, marine steel. GL Grade DH36 marine steel plates have good toughness properties, higher strength, strong corrosion-resistance, the processing properties, and welding properties. Shipbuilding steel plate GL Grade DH36 is mainly used in about zero centigree ocean situation. GL DH36 hull steel plate is done low temperature impacting test when rolling in our steel mill.
